Charge Up! Conference Day – 2

Day 2 brought it’s own challenges and struggles. From the taskforce point of view, it was the day before D-Day! It was also the last day for the video and photography stream to conduct it’s

respective workshops. We had a blast with Ps.Sivin’s awesomely cool power up! session. He really is tech savvy! Today was also the day I had to share my testimony about my journey in Media.

One day, if you’ll buy be a cup of coffee, i’d love to tell you my story :) Sommore it was T-shirt day! meaning group photo day haha!

(Once more, Pics were taken jointly by myself and Sharon Tan Li Li)

This year’s T-shirt :) Courtesy of Saw Poh Sim yoh!

This year I must admit, I couldn’t find much time to take many pictures :(

I was nervous

The time came for me to share my testimony, I was a quite relieved when I was told that they swapped my turn with someone else, but somehow down the line, I got swapped back without being told !

Not that I wasn’t prepared, I thought Public Speaking for 4 years! Nevertheless, I was scared. Why? Because my senior Pastor was amongst the delegates this year!

So there I was telling my story :)

Actually, it took some gently nudging from Ps.Sivin to lead me up to the stage :)

Rev.Solomon Bulan. (My senior Pastor/Boss)

I guess he was ok with my testimony. (Phew)

Choon Ean & Joe

Choon Ean is a person who never overlooks anyone’s contribution to the cause. Here she’s appreciating Joe for helping out with the Power Up! Worship sessions. He was leaving to Kuching that day. Awesome person I must say.

Jenny Sun’s session on interacting with couples.

After the power Up! Sessions, we proceeded to our separate streams; today was the last day for workshops. So here we had Jenny Sun! sharing with us the secrets of interacting with clients.

It was a hot afternoon. But we managed to get the outdoor session done!

Everyone was attentive! A captivated audience!

Marie and Jeanette are repeat offenders in Charge Up! Both have attended 3 Charge Up! Conferences and still have managed to elude the call of duty! haha!

Any way, Jenny was very cool with her workshop, it was so easy to grasp what she wanted to explain to us. Her Q&A session had to be cut short because there were just so many questions and not enough time!

(On a seperate note, we have noted from your feedback forms; the issue of Time management. We thank you for your feedback and will look to being more timely in the future.)

:)

Then it was time for the mega group photo!

A year ago, Grace was organizing the group picture session in Penang, using Joseph’s 5DMKII. Today she’s doing the same thing! But with her OWN 5DMKII  :)

The result :)

Credit to Grace Tan for the shot & Ian Chong for the radio poppers! (Arguably among the most handsome dudes for CUC2010 jointly shared with me!)

:)

Pic taken by Grace Tan too! This pic was taken the day before because Louis had to leave early in the conference. His presence was sorely missed.

Pic taken by Nick Lim who purposely blurred Jenny’s pic out of spite!!

Jenny had to get ready for her trip to the UK. So me and nick being like a bunch of school girls, walked her to her car, and said our goodbyes.

Next I jumped into Ke Wynn’s lighting workshop. If you ask me, I dub him reflection-Guru. You should check out his work!

His workshop on using flash was essential to the delegates. I also managed to help out with his workshop.

The result :

I love these moments :P

Then I hopped into Grace Tan’s editing class :)

One of the key contributors to in my life and walk in media. Grace’s eye and mind for visual story telling is so fresh!

Here’s Grace in her natural surrounding :) If she’s not shooting weddings around the world, or editing behind her MacBook Pro, you’ll find her here, training generations of media passionate people.

Stuff happening in the Fx class
Here’s Alex Lam, one of the speakers for the Pastors Track

Sorry Ladies, this man is taken. Alex Lam is married to Grace Tan, making them Mr.& Mrs. Lam The man’s mind is like a machine! Always cooking up ideas and such. You can call him a techno-preneur

Here’s Sharon busy snapping away.

After dinner, we headed on to the next agenda, the Media Showcase.

Various church media ministries all contributed to the showcase ! It was interesting. But yes, due to public opinion, too long.

We know, next year, we’ll spread it out across the night sessions or something. :)

This man is priceless

If you’re looking for fresh creativity and lame jokes, he’s your man! kareem!!

beware of his mamak sessions.

Some of us took time to re-connect with old friendships!

while others decided to unplug to goof around and relax :)

Little did they know….

…..Of what was yet to come on Day 3 of Charge Up!

Charge Up! Conference Day 3, PROJECT DAY! coming up yoh!
